Our 11-Point Auto Glass Repair Checklist

Every windshield we replace undergoes this rigorous 11-Point Checklist: 

1. Complete vehicle inspection prior to installation.
2. Use care to prevent damage and maintain vehicle cleanliness by placing a protective covering on/in the vehicle as required.
3. Remove moldings, clips, windshield wipers, cowling, etc., as required. No shortcuts that compromise quality.
4. Use Full Cut-Out method, removing old adhesive to approximately 1/16" thickness as specified by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM)
5. Use proper high-performance urethane adhesive to meet the specifications of your car's manufacturer and safe drive-away time requirements at various temperatures.
6. Install a windshield that meets or exceeds the OEM specifications of your car's manufacturer and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
7. Test wipers to ensure proper position.
8. Vacuum glass and debris from the vehicle.
9. Perform final vehicle inspection, including cleaning of glass, and apply the Auto Glass Express seal of confidence.
10. Review safe drive-away time recommendations based on the type of urethane applied and environmental conditions (temperature and humidity).
11. Review warranty information and care instructions.
